Job Description


The Group Specialist: People Data & Analytics is sought for a 6-month contract position. This role focuses on strategically collaborating with HR Product Owners to identify and address business and HR challenges through data-driven solutions. The specialist will work on high-value, complex data challenges, utilizing expertise in data science, advanced statistics, data analysis, and more to create impactful people data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to identify people data challenges and translate them into key questions and metrics.
  • Define data strategies to meet short, medium, and long-term product and service requirements.
  • Design comprehensive data solutions for people-related products and services, even when faced with ambiguous requests.
  • Partner with technology teams to refine data requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Create customized data models, algorithms, and recommendation engines to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Analyze complex, multidimensional people-related datasets using various data analytics tools and techniques.
  • Derive descriptive and predictive analytics and insights, providing clear recommendations for workforce optimization and experience.
  • Work with HR Product Owners to develop strategies addressing data insights.
  • Continuously refine and improve people data & analytics solutions.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to empower HR, managers, and leaders for informed decision-making.
  • Showcase the commercial impact of data solutions for the HR community.
  • Develop expertise in data-related areas, including data engineering, data architecture, and data science.
  • Promote data literacy across the enterprise by sharing best practices and coaching the HR community.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of experience in analytics, BI, reporting, data visualization, with demonstrated people data & analytics or cross-domain HR experience.
  • Relevant B-Degree or equivalent (Advanced Degree preferred) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science.
  • Proven track record of independently developing data solutions with commercial impact.
  • Experience contributing to self-service data models.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools.
  • Expertise in data analysis, configuration, and mining from ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience with SaaS data solutions and data visualization tools.
  • Developing experience or aptitude for implementing machine learning and AI in people analytics.
  • Preferred experience in optimizing and building complex data sets using languages like Java, Scala, Python, Hadoop, Apache Spark, SQL, R, and Kafka.
  • Proven experience in leveraging data science skills such as big data pipelines, data mining, data optimization, advanced statistics, feature engineering, predictive modeling, distributed computing, machine learning, data intuition, data quality assurance, and data governance.
This role demands a seasoned professional capable of transforming data into actionable insights to drive business decisions and enhance the workforce experience while contributing to the broader development of data practices within the Human Resources domain.
