Job Title:

Group Reporting Manager

Purpose of the Job

To lead the Group's financial reporting function by delivering accurate, timely, and compliant consolidated financial statements and external disclosures in accordance with IFRS and JSE Listings Requirements. The role drives strategic reporting initiatives, supports budgeting and performance tracking, and champions automation, governance, and technical accounting excellence to enable informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the Group.

Key Performance Areas

Annual and Interim Financial Statements

Lead the preparation of the Group's Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and Interim Results in accordance with IFRS and JSE Listings Requirements Manage the external audit process for the Group, company, and other separate AFS

Group budget

Lead the Group budgeting process, including timeline management, stakeholder coordination, consolidation of inputs, and presentation of final budgets Maintain the Group KPI framework, enabling performance tracking through automated dashboards and data visualisation tools.

External Reporting

Prepare and review SENS announcements (JSE short-form) and Booklet (JSE long-form) Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements Leverage automation tools to streamline reporting cycles and reduce turnaround time

Technical Accounting

Research and implement new IFRS standards and interpretations Draft technical accounting papers and position memos for complex transactions Provide accounting guidance to business units and finance teams

Governance and Disclosure

Maintain the Group's accounting policies and disclosure frameworks Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial disclosures across all platforms

Financial Reporting and Insights

Support the Group Finance Executive in Exco, audit committee, and board reporting Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality, efficiency, and automation Continuously improve reporting quality through data visualisation, dashboarding, and process redesign

Knowledge

Deep understanding of IFRS standards, JSE Listings Requirements, and financial reporting frameworks. Strong knowledge of consolidation principles, technical accounting, and disclosure requirements. Familiarity with automation tools, data visualization, and budgeting systems. Awareness of tax implications and governance requirements for listed entities.

Job Specific Skills

Advanced financial reporting and consolidation skills. Ability to prepare and review complex financial statements and regulatory submissions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for technical accounting issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and reporting automation tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience

5-8 years post-articles, with deep IFRS and listed company reporting experience
