Are you a qualified CA(SA) with a sharp eye for detail and the skill to manage complex group reporting? A national leader in the construction and engineering sector is seeking a Group Financial Accountant for a 6-month contract. This role offers the chance to work at group level, overseeing consolidations, IFRS compliance, and executive-level reporting in a high-performance finance environment. In this role, you will lead group consolidations, manage statutory reporting, and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies. You'll partner with senior executives, contribute to strategic decision-making, and oversee the full spectrum of group-level financial management.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Group Consolidations & Reporting: Prepare group consolidated reports, board packs, and statutory financial statements.
• Tax Management: Perform tax calculations, reconciliations, and submissions.
• Review & Analysis: Assess divisional management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Forecasting & Planning: Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Audit Support: Assist with BB-BEE, external, and internal audits.
• Executive Liaison: Present financial insights to EXCO and compile reports for Stats SA & the Reserve Bank.
• IFRS Compliance: Ensure adherence to IFRS 9, IFRS 16, and group accounting policies.

Qualifications & skills:

• CA(SA)
• 3+ Years' Experience in construction, engineering, or related sectors
• Advanced Excel skills; JDE and Hyperion experience advantageous
• Strong consolidations and tax experience, with a proven ability to work under pressure
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
