Are you a seasoned finance professional ready to take full ownership of group-wide financial operations in one of the most scenic regions of the Winelands? Our client, a prestigious organization within the broader hospitality sector, is seeking a dynamic Group Financial Accountant to lead and elevate their financial management function. This role offers the opportunity to guide a small team, streamline financial processes, and play a pivotal part in supporting strategic decision-making across the business. To thrive here, you'll need to be fully proficient in English and Afrikaans, equipped with a completed Finance or Accounting degree, and bring 5-8 years of experience in a similar role. Only candidates with a background of hospitality or agriculture estate environments will be considered.
As the Group Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
Take full ownership of the finance function, including management accounts, budgeting, cash flow management, and consolidated group reporting
Deliver robust financial analysis, forecasts, and strategic insights to support decision-making and enhance profitability
Uphold compliance with all statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements
Oversee cash flow and treasury activities while managing key stakeholder relationships
Optimize, maintain, and improve financial systems and tools
Provide leadership, guidance, and development to the finance team to drive performance and operational excellence
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a similar position within the abovementioned industries
Proficiency in Pastel
Excellent communication skills (in both Afrikaans and English)
Team management skills
Completed articles could be advantageous
Qualification:
Completed BCom in Finance or Accounting
Completed Matric (Grade 12)
