Job SummaryHire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Group Finance Accountant to join our client's team in Cape Town. The Group financial accountant will be responsible for month-end accounting and reporting processes, interim/year-end closing and reporting aspects, year-end audit, budgeting process and other financial related projects which could change from time to time.ResponsibilitiesMonth End

• Preparing loan account reconciliations and product development cost calculations
• Review of subsidiaries' management accounts
• Tax calculations
• Preparing group consolidated management accounts

Year-end Audit

• Management of the year-end external audit requirements/deliverables
• Ensure that financial transactions in the group are recorded in compliance with IFRS
• Assist group companies with technical accounting transactions and year-end reporting packs
• Review inter-group transactions and loan accounts
• Overseeing the reporting by group companies (local and foreign) and perform group consolidations
• Tax calculations
• Group financial reporting packs for submission to a listed company
• Preparation of group companies annual financial statements

Reporting

• Compiling of management information
• Drafting of reports for the Finance and risk committee and board of directors

Other

• Tax compliance responsibilities
• Compile group consolidated budgets and budget reporting pack
• Compile Group consolidated cash flow forecast
• Assistance/involvement with mergers and acquisitions
• Assist CFO and CEO with presentations to stakeholders

Requirements:

• CA(SA) qualification
• 3 years post article experience
• AFS (full IFRS) / tax / budgeting experience
• Group accounting / consolidation experience
• Management accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Problem solving skills / can work independently
