Job Summary .
? Primary Purpose of the Role:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Extractive Metallurgy Cluster.
- Ensure alignment of the clusters strategy with industry needs and trends.
- Maintain a balanced portfolio of RDI (Research, Development and Innovation) projects.
- Oversee sustainability across financial, human capital, safety, and delivery performance.
- Build and manage high-level stakeholder relationships and strategic partnerships.
- Maximise the impact of internal and external funding to achieve organisational goals.
- Leading cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Driving business development and commercialisation of RDI outputs.
- Ensuring operational excellence and financial sustainability.
- Managing risk, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Monitoring performance and impact through robust systems and KPIs.
- Promoting transformation and succession planning.
- Masters degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- At least 5 years in a senior research management role.
- Strong track record in commercialising research outputs.
- Industry knowledge in minerals, metallurgy, or related sectors.
- Experience in international and national business engagement.
- Strategic and innovative leadership.
- Business and financial acumen.
- RDI and technology management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
