Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Extractive Metallurgy Cluster.
Ensure alignment of the clusters strategy with industry needs and trends.
Maintain a balanced portfolio of RDI (Research, Development and Innovation) projects.
Oversee sustainability across financial, human capital, safety, and delivery performance.
Build and manage high-level stakeholder relationships and strategic partnerships.
Maximise the impact of internal and external funding to achieve organisational goals.
? Key Responsibilities Include:
Leading cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative culture.
Driving business development and commercialisation of RDI outputs.
Ensuring operational excellence and financial sustainability.
Managing risk, compliance, and governance frameworks.
Monitoring performance and impact through robust systems and KPIs.
Promoting transformation and succession planning.
? Minimum Requirements:
Masters degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
(PhD preferred.) * 10+ years of experience in a research or knowledge-based organisation.
At least 5 years in a senior research management role.
Strong track record in commercialising research outputs.
Industry knowledge in minerals, metallurgy, or related sectors.
Experience in international and national business engagement.
