MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Design, develop, implement, and integrate (during the project phase) robust, consistent, scalable and future proof digital platforms based on business, technical and operational requirements, as well as ensure a proper hand over of the technical solutions into operational teams.

This role also needs to facilitate the involvement of peers in the Group and Divisional ICT organisations and drive the definition of new standards and policies together with the responsible committees and CoEs, as well as chair specific COE's that are assigned to them related to the digital platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Execute the activities, design, implementation and integration of digital platforms and their architecture in the defined area
• Translate business, technical and operational requirements into technical solutions (solution design)
• Research, share and lead technology discussion between peers within group and divisions specific to their assigned specialist area
• Optimise the performance and ensure the appropriate level of security for the assigned digital platform
• Develop and maintain policies and standards that govern the use and management of the digital platform
• Compile technical documentation and provide project technical feedback to relevant stakeholders

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Architecture, System Analysis, Agile methodology or a related field or relevant experience.

DESIRED EDUCATION

Postgraduate degree in related field and/or development and integration certification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in the ICT solution design, development and operations disciplines for digital platforms: platform design & development, middleware/interfacing, database management and cloud development
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in developing digital platform architecture blueprints
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in ICT solution management, agile principles and development methodologies

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• Exposure to strategic and new digital platform technologies, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
• Experience as a digital platform specialist in managing digital platforms for entire businesses
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Experience with InterSystems technology (e.g. IRIS and Healthshare)

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• B2B and API Interoperability standards and Techniques
• Execution of the delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
• IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
• IT standards and controls
• Project management principles and methodologies (Agile)
• System development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronise and stabilise, and DevOps)
• The gathering, documentation and analysis of business, technical and operational requirements, including Functional and Technical design specifications
• Various database technologies e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, DB2, etc.
• Various development languages e.g. Java, C#, R, Python, etc.
• Various frontend web development languages e.g. JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
