To lead and optimise the group consolidation and reporting processes across a complex multinational structure, ensuring accurate financial insights, compliance with IFRS, and support for strategic transactions. This role drives automation, system enhancements, and process improvements to deliver timely, high-quality internal and external reporting while enabling informed decision-making at the group level.
Key Performance Areas
Group Consolidation
Own the monthly and year-end group consolidation process across all subsidiaries, associates, and joint ventures
Prepare and review consolidation journals, including eliminations, equity accounting, and foreign currency translations
Maintain the group consolidation system and champion automation and system optimisation to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
Prepare consolidated trial balances and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting
Acquisition and Restructuring Support
Assess and implement accounting treatment for new acquisitions, disposals, and group restructures
Prepare pro forma consolidation models for M&A and strategic transactions
Internal Reporting
Design and maintain financial dashboards that provide real-time insights to leadership
Deliver accurate and timely consolidated management accounts
Support the Group Finance Executive with group-level financial insights and variance analysis
Governance & Controls
Maintain consolidation-related internal controls and documentation
Liaise with internal and external auditors on consolidation matters
Process Improvement and Automation
Identify and implement AI-driven solutions to streamline consolidation and reporting workflows
Support the budgeting and forecasting process with consolidated views
Participate in finance transformation and system enhancement projects
Focus on process automation and improved data visualisation
Knowledge
In-depth understanding of IFRS standards, particularly consolidation principles.
Strong knowledge of group structures, including subsidiaries, associates, and joint ventures.
Familiarity with foreign currency translation, equity accounting, and elimination processes.
Knowledge of consolidation systems and automation tools.
Awareness of internal controls, governance, and audit requirements.
