Job Description

Tsebo Solutions Group is looking for a visionary Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our IT strategy across 25 African countries. Reporting to the Group CEO, the CIO will drive digital transformation, enhance operational efficiency, and support scalable growth. This role is central to building a modern, pan-African facilities solutions group by advancing Tsebo's digital capabilities and systems integration. A strong advocate for AI and automation, the CIO will lead the adoption of innovative technologies that future-proof the business and enable smart, agile operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define and drive Tsebo Group's technology vision and strategy
  • Lead the development, evaluation, and coordination of IT systems in partnership with outsourced providers
  • Manage dual environments: a mature RSA market and a less developed non-RSA African market
  • Nurture and innovate a cloud-based strategy to support distributed and remote operations
  • Facilitate communication across internal and external technology stakeholders
  • Drive innovation, AI, digital transformation, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Enhance the user experience and simplify processes
  • Deliver strategic IT leadership, governance, and top quartile cost efficiencies

Qualifications
  • Qualifications: MBA, BComm Information Systems, BSc Computer Engineering/Science, or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of business experience, with at least 5 years at senior/executive level in IT
  • Minimum 5 years of programme and project management
  • Proven track record in leading transformation across multiple business entities
