A growing, entrepreneurial energy group is looking for a bright, teachable Group Accountant to support the financial function across multiple business units - the ideal role for someone fresh out of articles who wants to grow in a commercially run environment.

This dynamic group in the energy sector is seeking a junior Group Accountant to join their team. The role isn't consolidation-focused, but rather involves overseeing and reviewing the of several business units, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance. The ideal candidate is someone with strong academics, a proactive attitude, and the desire to learn and grow under experienced leadership.
Other duties include:
- Reviewing and supporting accounting across business units
- Assisting with month-end reporting and variance analysis
- Ensuring consistency in accounting practices and internal controls
- Liaising with operational teams for financial input and process alignment
- Learning and assisting with group-wide financial reviews and reporting
- Completed
Job Experience & Skills required:
- Recently completed articles (SAICA or SAIPA)
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Proactive and eager to grow in a multi-entity environment
- Good communication skills and a team-player mindset
- Able to take instruction and show initiative over time
