Location: Pretoria, Gauteng (Full-time; Office-based)
Position Overview:
There is an exciting opportunity available for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join a leading voice and advocate for the aggregates industry as a Group Accountant.
The Group Accountant will oversee and consolidate the finances of multiple high-growth ventures. This individual will be instrumental in establishing robust financial systems, implementing automation, and leading reporting cycles that inform strategic decision-making.
The Group Accountant will work directly with the MD, contribute to weekly strategic finance meetings, and help shape how finance supports innovation across the group. The incumbent is someone who will thrive in fast-paced environments and loves bringing clarity to complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Group finance consolidation.
- Financial reporting.
- Automation and efficiency.
- Forecasting.
- Cash flow and capital strategy.
- Operational finance.
- Regulatory compliance.
- Registration as a Professional Accountant with the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA).
- A completed Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Accounting roles (including articles or equivalent experience).
- Strong grasp of Accounting Platforms like Xero, with openness to learning other financial and operational tools.
- Proven ability to implement technology-based solutions that improve workflow and accuracy.
- Confident working with external partners (e.g. banks, investors, auditors) and internal stakeholders.
