How you'll role

As the Group Account Director (Advertising and Marketing) you will ensure optimum revenue, client strategy and direction, innovations, stakeholder's relations, and business growth of the company. The position reports to the Executive Chairman and the board.

What you'll do

Financials

  • Ensure achievement of both top and bottom-line targets based on turnover target
  • Acquisition of new business opportunities as part of business growth strategy
  • Ensure timely billing and debt collection as per agreed plan
  • Responsible for Cost Management Initiatives
Customer
  • Ensure retention of all big and potential clients through enhancement of good relationship management to get more businesses from them
  • Ensure proper complaints management from our potential and big clients as per Turn Around time
  • Identify opportunities to develop and strengthen relationships to advance the business
  • Manage customer relations to increase the business's visibility and reputation
  • Identify areas where the business can increase its footprint including developing new products, upgrades, relocation
  • Ensure understanding of the market and visibility within the market through quarterly competitors' analysis
Internal Business Process / Control
  • Improve operations planning and overall efficiency
  • Proper stakeholder's management including suppliers, vendors, and services providers, making recommendations for improvements and enhancements
  • Monthly submission of statutory reports to Executive Director Risk and Compliance to ensure compliance with all regulators and authorities
  • Close all the Audit queries and any risk issue raised
  • Timely submission of weekly and monthly reports to Head Office and Executive Directors whenever need be
Learning and growth
  • Ensure all staff have signed performance objectives and KPIs and adhere to agreed performance management processes
  • With the support from Group HR Manager Coach, Mentor, and train upcoming talents to ensure retention
  • Build an internal talent pool in each department to ensure succession planning across all unit
  • With the support from GHRM, spot the talents from the competition as an external talent pool
  • Building a robust Sales and Marketing team that will support business growth & profit
  • Coach and train sales team specific on relationship management, sales pitching, networking
What you'll need
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing/Advertising or Business Management or equivalent
  • Masters' degree in a related field is added advantage
  • 7 - 10 years of media/advertising sales/Marketing or relevant experience
  • 5 years of management experience preferably in a General Manager position
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the external clients and the internal client at all levels of personnel
  • Excellent client-service and selling skills
  • High level of business planning, analytical and conceptual skills to identify key issues
  • Outstanding organisational and leadership skills
  • Commercial acumen, including the ability to negotiate and secure value-add benefits to the company
  • Presentation skills essentials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be proficient in English (written and oral)
