Grocery Supervisor

Job Description
A large retail group is looking for a dynamic and skilled individual to take upon the role as a Grocery Supervisor at one of our stores in Phoenix.
Purpose: To effectively manage the Grocery department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Management of the department staff; plans and controls the daily activities, conducts meetings and enforces discipline amongst staff
Buying of products determines the replenishment requirements, negotiates prices with suppliers, and coordinates any returns as well as stock rotation.
Product merchandising: allocate space for internal/external merchandisers and check for promotions and pricing of goods.
Ensure that merchandising standards are on par and that correct PI Labels on shelves
Controlling shrinkage ensures stock in warehouse is at optimum levels and monitors shrinkage levels.
Promotional advertising: purchases additional stock for promotions and coordinates in-store promotions.
General Admin; checking invoice pricing, monitors the rate of sale of product
Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric)
1 year experience as a grocery supervisor
Proficient in MS Office Applications.
Salary: Negotiable, based on knowledge and experience
EXPERIENCE IN THE RETAIL INDUSTRY IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS POSITION
Do you possess at least 1 year of buying/purchasing experience in the wholesale and retail industry?
