Graphic Artist - Marketing & Design Department

A well-established clothing manufacturer based in Cape Town is seeking to appoint a skilled Graphic Artist with experience in Ladieswear design to join our Marketing and Design Department.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Designers and Account Managers to deliver high-quality products and services to clients Create original graphics/artwork using various sources, including overseas samples and online references Conduct regular store visits to stay informed on competitor activity and current market trends Produce additional graphic work as required by the company Stay current with print design trends and techniques Work closely with buyers and customer-side artists, interpreting and delivering on provided briefs Develop artwork for range building based on buyer requests Create graphics for product briefs and tech packs Source fresh graphics for existing product lines and seasonal updates Ensure all designs meet licensee requirements and follow the correct approval process

Requirements & Experience:

Strong creative flair with a proactive, detail-oriented approach Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CS5 Knowledge of CorelDRAW 16 (advantageous) Familiarity with Windows operating systems (essential) Background in textile design and screen-printing (beneficial) Experience using the Gerber manufacturing system (beneficial) Previous experience in a clothing manufacturing environment (advantageous) Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience
