KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Grain Production Management:

Oversee and manage all aspects of soya crop production for breeding and trial puposes. * Trial Plot Coordination:
Plan, implement, and monitor trial plots for new cultivar testing. Responsibilities include data collection, reporting, and contributing to speed breeding initiatives. * Breeder Blocks Oversight:
Manage and maintain breeder blocks to ensure optimal plant health and genetic integrity. * Cleaning Plant Operations:
Supervise daily operations at the seed cleaning facility, ensuring efficiency and quality control. * Technical Support to Farmers:
Provide expert advice and support to farmers on agronomic practices, cultivar selection, and crop management.
Overall, the company need a good all-rounder, with a farming background, that can handle the farming side as well as the technical aspects involved with trial plantings.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Education:

Matric (Grade 12) is required. A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, or Applied Plant Sciences will be a strong advantage. * Industry Experience:
A minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in grain production, with a preference for experience in soya bean cultivation. * Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of row crop production systems and modern agricultural practices. * Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the confidence to engage effectively with farmers and team members. * Mindset and Work Ethic:
A proactive, solutions-oriented attitude with a can-do mentality and a willingness to take initiative. * Ideal Candidate Profile:
