Grade 8/9 Tutor – 10 Hours P/week @ R200 P/h During School Terms

Job Description
Tailored Tutors is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic tutor across all subjects for a Grade 8 student (scope to continue to Grade 9 and beyond), with a focus on those able to work after hours and on weekends. Successful candidates will be responsible for lesson planning, liaising with parents regarding the student's academic progress, and transport to and from the student's house or study venue.
Responsibilities:
Preparing lessons based on the student's subjects, grade, abilities and difficulty areas. Reporting progress to the student's parents and advising parents on how to maximise their child's growth and development. Transport to and from the learning venue (Constantia), arriving on time and ready to teach.
Requirements
At least 1 year's experience as a tutor, teaching students at Grade 8 level or above. Qualified teachers may also apply. Own reliable transport. Availability to work the following shifts (times can be negotiated for the right candidate): Monday 15:30-17:30, Tuesday 19:30-21:30, Wednesday 15:30-17:30, Thursday 19:30-21:30, and Sunday 16:00-18:00
This role pays R200 per hour (not including travel time), paid weekly. All financial liaisons between parents will be done by our admin team. Currently 10 hours per week, 40 hours per month for R8k p/m during school terms. Please note that you will only be paid for the sessions you host and lessons may be paused during school holidays or by unforeseen circumstances.
