Job Summary The role requires an analytic problem solver with a passion for driving effective governance, fraud, and enterprise management risks in the Home Loans First Line of Defense (1LOD. The Senior Manager - Governance, Control and Fraud Risk will work closely with both the Home Loans Executive, Operational Risk (2LOD), Management Assurance teams embedded within the business, and Cluster 1LOD teams, and other key stakeholder including Risk, Audit, and Cluster or Group representatives. To this end, the successful candidate will possess the requisite skills and experience to balance technical risk control acumen and commercial knowledge to influence business decisions. Your ability to navigate this complex terrain, combined exceptional leadership skills, will be instrumental in shaping our success.



The role will be responsible to lead and co-ordinate the activities of a highly motivated First Line Governance & Control team which takes accountability for the control environment within the business, including:

• Ensuring the understanding, effective management, review and reporting of all risk items across the business.
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Absa Policies and Policy Standards.
• Driving the strategy for Governance and Control to achieve operational excellence across the Home loans value chain.
• Guide the business to ensure that all operational activities are within appetite.
• Setting, tracking, and delivering against business performance standards
• Strong subject matter expert in Governance, Control and Fraud Risk with good communication, and attention to details.
• Embrace data- led approach to fraud management and reporting

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
