Job Summary DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES EXISTING DISTRIBUTORS - Set annual sales targets for each distributor taking into account previous years performance; desired growth targets; market conditions. - Work closely with Distributors Retail teams to understand their market and develop strategies that will achieve and exceed the targets set. Monitor the execution of these strategies and drive performance. - Monitor actual sales (track & record), stock holdings (by store, by product) & forecasts. - Continue to build relationships with existing Distributors and develop communication channels that will facilitate an efficient flow of information in both directions. NEW GLOBAL DISTRIBUTORS - Identify potential global partners (this could include independent stores, cleaning services, key & major accounts, distribution partners & collaboration partners). - Gather market intelligence on these potential partners ensuring sufficient due diligence is done to assist decision making. - Manage communications with these partners and assist in all negotiations up to and including presentation of opportunity to General Manager for final decision. - Work with partners in developing an understanding for the brand and business and creating realistic projections for the brand. STRATEGIC PLANNING AND COMMUNICATIONS - Drive internal communications as well as external communications to the companies' brand and marketing teams (brand custodians) to ensure the business is focused on a sales-driven strategy that supports global expansion. - Work closely with the companies' brand and marketing teams on Distributor specific requirements and brand collaborations that will advance the brand and sales strategy globally. - Conduct on-going market research to keep up to date with the industry, competitors & potential clients globally. - Work closely with Distributors and retailers to ensure the compnaies presence online is in synergy with our Global Online focus. E-commerce is a key strategic focus for the brand and needs to be supported by consistent product imagery & descriptions, listing requirements, recommended add-ons, pricing and exclusive campaign imagery. FINANCIAL & ADMINISTRATIVE - Responsible for setting consolidated annual sales targets for all Distribution Channels taking all relevant information into account. To be presented to Sales Director for final sign off and inclusion in Group overall annual budget. - Track set sales targets throughout the year highlighting actual sales vs targets as well as forecasted sales for remainder of year. - Circulate up to date order sheets to all Distributors SELF-DEVELOPMENT - Constantly broaden understanding and education of the business through research of articles in other areas of the business (eg: Marketing: social media, advertising, branding. Operations: planning, warehousing). KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS - Ability to achieve and exceed annual overall sales target. - Achieve year-on-year sales growth in unit terms with existing suppliers. - Present a minimum of 1 new distribution territory per year to grow the global brand presence. - Ensure brand is at the forefront of sales and marketing strategies in the global market. - Ensuring that strong relationships are built with Distribution Partners as the foundation to long-term success
