Requirements



National Diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent technical

qualification in Informatics / Geoinformation or related field



1 - 2 years' relevant experience in GIS and spatial data

management and manipulation



Professional registration as GISc Practitioner with industry regulatory

body or eligibility for such, would be an advantage



Key Performance Areas



Support the department by providing spatial/geoinformation data

analysis, mapping and manipulation services including related



graphic communication/presentation services to assist staff in



planning, packaging and project managing catalytic projects and



programmes, as part of rolling out the City's Precinct Development



Programme



Assist with spatial data warehousing/storage and dissemination Ensure compliance with corporate data standards and provide

informationadvice with regard to various areas of GIS and data



management



Support spatial planning and land development processes and

projects in pursuit of strategic objectives



Providing communication and marketing support to ensure

effective communication and engagement with stakeholders and



role players in support of the Department's business plan objectives



and related work



Providing administrative support to ensure availability of

appropriate geographic data and information in support of the



Department's business plan objectives
