If your passion is studying water below the earths surface this is for you! Our client in the environmental sector has a vacancy for a Geohydrologist Minimum requirements

• Honours or Masters in Geology, Environmental Science or Natural Science
• 5 years experience in a similar role
• Willing to travel and stay over for long periods of time
• Must be able to evaluate and investigate underground water resources
• Must have thorough knowledge of ground water
• Must be able to use magnetometer

Required skills

• Must be able to compile professional scientific reports
• Must be able to conduct borehole siting
• Conduct assessments according to Department of Water and Sanitation regulations
• Development of ground water resources
• Use of magnetometer; where to bore water, test water, and determine how much water is available and left to obtain from a certain area
• Knowledge of rural water supply
• Project management
• Conduct yield calculations
