Job Summary
Positions available in the Stevedoring Industry:
- General workers: Cleans ships, piers, dry-docks and other working areas using broom and water hose, open shiping crates using hammer and pinch-bar
- Hatchman: Responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of containers and steel cargo to and from vessels
- Teamleader - Foreman: Ensures the load and discharge is performed accurately and timely. Oversees agency dockworkers. Acts as a focal point for any stevedoring issues that may arise with assigned vessel.
- Crane Operator: Operate the vessel's cranes in a safe and efficient manner, to operate in a safe and efficient manner.
- Forklift Driver: Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items. Transporting materials to different locations within the facility. Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency. Securing loads to the machine before transportation. Must operate 7- 25 ton loads.
- Serang: Keeping the deck crew in order, directing them at their work, and administering discipline.
