Key Responsibilities

Production Support:

Assist in the food production process by following daily work schedules and adhering to safety protocols. This includes operating machinery, packing products, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.

Cleaning Duties:

Perform general cleaning tasks within the factory, including refuse removal and cleaning of equipment and machinery to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Packing Operations:

Pack finished products into boxes or onto pallets, ensuring that they are securely wrapped and moved to designated areas for storage or distribution.

Equipment Maintenance:

Conduct routine inspections of equipment used during production, reporting any malfunctions or issues to supervisors immediately. Minor troubleshooting may also be required.

Quality Control:

Monitor product quality during production runs, ensuring adherence to specifications and reporting any discrepancies to management.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records related to production activities, including quantities produced, materials used, and any incidents that occur during shifts.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production targets while contributing positively to the workplace environment.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and following proper food handling procedures.

Shift Work Flexibility:

Be prepared to work shifts as needed, which may include weekends or holidays depending on production demands.

Working Conditions

The position typically requires working full-time hours within a warehouse setting. Physical demands may include lifting heavy items, standing for extended periods, and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jack or forklifts (if licensed). Candidates may be expected to participate in ongoing training programs related to food safety standards and operational procedures as part of their professional development within the organisation.
