Job Description
This role exists to assist in the general duties on site
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning of screens, grit channels, anoxic, aeration, clarifier, chlorine contact channel & sump basins Testing and recording MLSS, DSVI, RAS, SS, PH, DO, free & total chlorine, flow meter reading, screens, grit, & breakdowns Removing all dry sludge from drying beds & all other wastes Housekeeping - making the workplace clean. General inspection on (hand tools, PPE, machinery, buildings, equipment and work area). Report any defects and breakdown observed Sampling Compliance to the SHEQ System Do toolbox talk, risk assessment, PTOs and safety meetings Check chlorine dosing and stock available
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one to five years' experience working in a water and wastewater treatment environment
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILTIES REQUIRED
Good communication (verbal and written) Good planning and organising Teamwork and observant Listening
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Must pass the mine's criminal screening process May be expected to work rotating shifts May be required to work overtime from time to time Physical, mental and medical fit
