Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficiency, quality, and high customer satisfaction.
Hire, train, supervise, and schedule front and back-of-house staff.
Monitor food quality, guest satisfaction, and cleanliness to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Drive sales and profitability through effective inventory, labor, and cost control.
Foster a positive, team-oriented environment and address staff or guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and manage inventory levels.
Handle budgeting, financial reporting, and performance metrics.
Coordinate with marketing and promotions teams to attract new customers and retain regulars.
Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in a high-volume restaurant.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety, labor laws, and financial reporting.
Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field.
food safety certification.
Bilingual (English/Afrikaans) is a plus.
