Job Summary Candidate requirements:

A qualification in Museum/Arts (or similar) Management, Business or Hospitality (essential)
Interest in South African history (essential)
Relevant experience in Guest Facilities, Restaurant Management or Food Production
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, also presentation skills
Home language must be Afrikaans and must be fluent in English (non-negotiable)
Ability to manage a team
Some experience in Financial Management
Enthusiasm and the ability to maintain high standards under pressure
Building and leading a team of Museum personnel across various departments (exhibitions, restaurant, garden, maintenance)
Creating a pleasant guest experience
Upkeep of Museum installations, some technically advanced
Management of the Restaurant team
Managing site maintenance, including gardens
Defining long-term goals, developing business models, and implementing them
Building on Employee strengths
Managing suppliers and community relations
Running the Museumxe2x80x99s operations and budget
