General Manager: Operations

Responsibilities:

Lead national logistics operations
Develop and execute strategic plans for continuous improvement across the supply chain
Ensure compliance with transport legislation, safety standards, and company policies
Oversee budgeting and financial controls
Drive KPI performance through effective leadership, coaching, and systems management
Collaborate cross-functionally to align operations with commercial and client needs
Mentor and develop Branch Managers
Build and maintain customer relationships at a regional level
Strong operations management experience in a road freight/logistics industry

Required Skills & Experience:

8-10 years logistics/operations experience, with at least 5 years in a senior/regional role
Relevant qualification in Logistics, Transport or Operations Management
Understanding of transport compliance, linehaul, and branch service delivery
Proven financial management skills, including strong P&L oversight
Technically proficient in logistics systems
A strategic thinker with hands-on operational ability
Highly organised, adaptable, and thrives under pressure
A clear communicator, approachable leader, and results-driven professional
