Lead the Smelter Business Unit, overseeing strategic planning for optimal ferrochrome production. Ensure reliable operation of furnaces, pelletizer, and chrome recovery plant, aligning with corporate objectives for volume, quality, and unit costs. Drive continuous improvement in availability, utilization, safety, and unit costs, fostering operational excellence and team development.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure ferrochrome production meets the highest international quality standards and satisfies market and customer requirements.

• Develop short and long-term production and maintenance strategies for sustained ferrochrome production, aligned with corporate objectives.

• Optimize maintenance resources for efficient plant operation, implementing upgrades and replacements to meet production targets at budgeted costs.

• Drive continuous improvement through operational excellence.

• Establish effective cost control systems for operating and capital expenditures, ensuring resource utilization stays within the approved budget.

• Demonstrate strong organizational and leadership abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving, and competency in strategic planning and business development with emotional intelligence.

• Possess broad experience in production, maintenance, and engineering, with significant exposure to Ferrochrome production equipment, processes, and customer base.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree or equivalent in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• 10 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience in the Metals value chain

• 5 yearsxe2x80x99 managerial experience in management of Metallurgical plant operations

• In-depth experience in managing overall operations of Smelter operations.

• Masterxe2x80x99s degree in technical discipline, Business Administration or commercial studies will be advantageous.
