Job Description

High end luxury lodge in the Kruger National Park area is looking for a General Manager or Managment Couple to oversee all lodge operations. Overseeing:

• Guest Experience including Spa and Gym
• Food Experience
• Guest spaces
• Guiding Experience
• Care and maintenance of the lodge / team villages
• Financial and budgeting accountability
• Conservation of our animals and land
• Care and maintenance of assets

Leading your teams which includes but not limited to:

• Team Management
• Induction of the team
• Coaching and team growth and development
• Ongoing Performance Management
• Training of the team
• Management of team villages

Food a & Beverage:

• Ensuring that our food offering exceeds or meets our standards.
• Continually find new and creative ways for our food and beverage offerings including bush events and drinks stops.

Housekeeping

• Ensuring that all guest and public areas are serviced and maintained to exceed or meet standards.

Front of House and Finance

• Ensuring that the Front of House and Relief team are meeting the requirements and standards for the lodge and reservation and or finance related queries.
• Monthly tasks including but not limited to month end checks.
• Co-ordinate central procurement / deliveries and invoicing
• Reservations / Apex

Compliance

• Fleet Management
• Guiding certification | licencing etc
• Health and Safety
• With HR xe2x80x93 Employment Equity
• With HR - Training reporting
• Assisting with all health and safety protocols
• Ensuring that you are continually developing in the business

Requirements:

• No less than 5 years in a lodge management role or no less than 7 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as an assistant lodge manager, camp manager, relief manager and or lodge anchor.
• No less than 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a 5* South African based safari lodge.
• Experience working in an area with dangerous game.
• Experience working in a remote area.
• Hospitality diploma or degree or similar
• Driverxe2x80x99s license
