Job Summary General Manager - Luxury Lodge | Namibia Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead operations at a prestigious luxury lodge in Namibia. This is an exciting live-in opportunity for a professional with a strong background in luxury hospitality, passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and developing high-performing teams in a remote and exclusive environment. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' senior management experience in a 5-star lodge or luxury hospitality operation Proven ability to lead operations, finances, and staff effectively in a remote, high-end property Specialized training in hospitality management or human resources advantageous Energetic, proactive, and guest-focused with a strong understanding of world-class hospitality Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong organisational, financial management, and problem-solving abilities Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) and general lodge management systems Knowledge of employment law, HR practices, and employee relations Outgoing, warm, and professional personality with high attention to detail Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations across all lodge departments, ensuring smooth service delivery Maintain exceptional guest experiences through attention to lodge, dining, and safari activities Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, guests, government authorities, communities, and industry partners Lead Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and community development programmes Ensure operational efficiency, cost control, quality standards, and use of local produce Implement and improve sustainability practices, reducing the lodge's environmental footprint Monitor, maintain, and manage all operational equipment, vehicles, generators, and facilities Provide financial oversight, budgeting, and forecasting Recruit, train, mentor, and empower staff, fostering a motivated, high-performing workforce Develop and implement creative service concepts and ensure alignment with industry trends Collaborate with the Executive Chef to oversee menus, food budgets, and culinary standards Host agents, media, and VIP guests, ensuring a premium experience Maintain transparent communication with regional management and stakeholders Uphold workplace health, safety, and compliance standards Package: Salary: Negotiable depending on experience Live-in accommodation included Opportunity to lead a prestigious luxury lodge in Namibia To apply: Please send your updated CV, reference letters, qualifications, and a recent head & shoulders photo today Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates who meet the listed requirements will be contacted.
