Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced General Manager for a prestigious luxury lodge in Kenya. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic hospitality professional to lead a world-class safari property, ensuring operational excellence while delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all lodge operations, including guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance
Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and service excellence
Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through personalized service and attention to detail
Implement and maintain quality standards in all departments
Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive profitability
Coordinate logistics for guest arrivals, departures, and activities
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and local communities
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Work closely with the marketing and reservations teams to optimize occupancy and guest experience
Champion sustainable tourism practices and conservation initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a General Manager or similar leadership role within a luxury lodge or boutique hotel environment
Proven track record of operational excellence and financial management
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
Passion for hospitality, wildlife, and delivering outstanding guest experiences
Ability to live and work in a remote setting with a hands-on and adaptable approach
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Culturally sensitive and committed to community engagement and development
