This market leading high tech integrated security entity servicing RSA and Africa urgently needs a hands on individual to oversee the effective management of the JHB branch.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSE:
To develop core business strategies to facilitate new business developments, whilst providing operational and personnel support to ensure the functionality and sustainability of the organisation as a whole.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Financial degree + completed articles preferred or
A general business degree and qualification in an industry-related field
Strong staff supervisory skills
At least 5 years experience at a similar level within a technology project based environment within a SME.
Strong SAGE ERP & MS Excel experience

6. Ensuring Financial Discipline

xefx82xa7 Overall management of accounting and reporting, including the review of monthly management reports and preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated reports.

xefx82xa7 Review and management of all relevant governmental compliance reporting, including taxation.

xefx82xa7 Liaison with outside independent auditors, banks, legal advisors, governmental agencies, insurance brokers and financial management.

xefx82xa7 Updating quarterly standard cost records.

xefx82xa7 Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the companys finances.
xefx82xa7 Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
xefx82xa7 Direct and control Finance staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
xefx82xa7 Produce accurate and timely financial information about the companys financial status and performance to enable decisions to be taken relating to the companys financial strength and security.
xefx82xa7 Carry out any necessary internal audit reviews and monitor the financial effectiveness of systems and controls.
xefx82xa7 Recommend any changes necessary to improve the companys financial performance and financial controls; and
xefx82xa7 Keep up to date with any developments in financial management which might affect how companys finances are managed or its statutory obligations.
