General Manager - Bingo Operations

Licensed Bingo Gaming Operation

We are seeking an experienced and highly competent General Manager to lead the daily operations of our licensed Bingo establishment in Durban. This is a senior leadership role requiring proven bingo industry experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to operate within South Africa's gambling compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee full operational management of the bingo licence operation Ensure strict compliance with the National Gambling Board (NGB) and KwaZulu-Natal Gambling Board regulations Maintain and enforce all internal controls, SOPs, and compliance procedures Manage and lead departmental heads, floor staff, surveillance, and administrative teams Liaise with regulators, auditors, inspectors, and licensing authorities Ensure compliance with FICA, AML, responsible gambling, and reporting requirements Monitor financial performance, controls, cash handling, and revenue protection Implement operational improvements to maximise efficiency and customer experience Handle disciplinary processes, staff training, and performance management Ensure licence conditions are adhered to at all times
Minimum Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience as a General Manager within a licensed Bingo operation (non-negotiable) Must qualify for and be able to hold a Key Employee Licence with the National Gambling Board In-depth knowledge of bingo legislation, compliance requirements, and operational procedures Proven experience managing gaming floor operations and compliance audits Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Excellent administrative, reporting, and organisational skills Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and governance Clear criminal record and fit-and-proper status as per gambling legislation

Experience working directly with provincial gambling boards Strong people management and conflict resolution skills Ability to work under pressure in a highly regulated environment High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
