Job Summary
Job Vacancy: General Foreman
Our client is a well-established Construction Company operating in the built environment.
They are currently are currently seeking a General Foreman to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for site set-up and layout
- Manage and meet project budgets
- Supervise on-site staff and sub-contractors
- Ensure compliance with occupational Health, Safety & Environment requirements
- Procure materials and equipment efficiently
- Ensure project timelines and milestones are met
- NQF Trade Certificate/Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum of a Matriculation/Diploma (Bricklaying, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.)
- National Technical Diploma/Certificate/Diploma in Construction
- Formal Certificate/Diploma in Health Safety & Environment Management
- Valid driver's license required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory capacity
- In-depth knowledge of construction site Health Safety & Environment requirements
- Proven track record managing personnel resources onsite
- Strong time management and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with sub-contractors and other service providers
- Cost management expertise
- Ability to read and comprehend construction site architectural/engineering drawings
