JOB DESCRIPTION
The General Assistant's primary purpose is to provide support at the Aluworks department as dictated by operational requirements.
Responsibilities (NOT limited to the below):
- Maintain safe working procedures at all times
- Ensure that tasks are carried out as instructed by your managers
- Assist operators if and when required
- Adhere to standard operating procedures
- Assist with cleaning, sweeping and general housekeeping duties
- Required to work shifts and overtime as determined by operational requirements
- Other general ad-hoc duties as required by you manager
- Minimum Grade 12
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Ability to function efficiently in pressurized work situations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Committed, hardworking and self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Display a professional work approach
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent standards in execution
