Role: GenAI Content Writer

Location: Remote until further notice

About the role:

We are seeking someone to join the Pencil team as a

Mid GenAI Content Writer

, to write educational and support content for users of the Pencil platform, including help articles, blogs, instructional playbooks, and more.



This role involves creating high-quality content that is clear, engaging, and actionable, helping users get the most out of the Pencil platform. You'll collaborate closely with teams across Product, Customer Success, and Training to ensure content aligns with product updates, user needs, and best practices.



You will need a strong command of language, an eye for detail, and the ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly. Doing this successfully will deliver impact for our clients, increase user adoption, and make you a key contributor to Pencil's educational content strategy.

Your day-to-day:

Writing help center articles, blogs, guides, and playbooks for Pencil users Translating product updates and new features into actionable, user-friendly content Interviewing internal teams or users to gather insights and best practices Collaborating with Product, Training, and Customer Success teams to ensure content is accurate and relevant Updating and maintaining existing content to reflect new developments

Your responsibilities:

Ensure all content is accurate, clear, and effective for the intended audience Deliver high-quality content at pace to support new feature launches and product updates Create content that drives demonstrable impact on user adoption and engagement Maintain consistency in tone of voice, style, and format across all materials

Your background:

Experience in content writing, instructional design, or a related field, ideally in tech, SaaS, or creative industries Native-level fluency in English The ability to explain complex concepts in clear, easy-to-understand language for different audiences Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail Experience creating educational or support content such as help articles, blogs, guides, or playbooks Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product, Customer Success, and Training
A proactive approach to learning new tools and platforms quickly

Nice-to-haves:

Familiarity with GenAI or AI-driven tools, and curiosity about how they can enhance content and learning Experience with content management systems (CMS), UX writing, or instructional design frameworks Ability to translate product updates and features into actionable, user-friendly content
