MINIMUM CRITERIA:

Grade 12 or equivalent, with Mathematics

Certificate in MS Office Packages and/or related

Physically fit and healthy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Foreman with daily duties:

Calculations of raw material charge to Furnace; Calculate, weigh and add all metal additions to the Furnace and/ Ladle Taking samples of molten metal to ensure it is within specification Assist with documentation as needed Rebuilding of Furnace Lining & make Repairs according to recognized Practices Ensuring Plants are ready for casting i.e. moulds & weights are prepared and waiting Checking on metal temperature before casting Assist with stock taking and ordering of raw material.
Observe casts and note any deviations.

Assist with casting;

General Housekeeping duties

Be able to move between departments, where needed.
