Job Description

To assist the Fundraising Department in the implementation of the Financial Sustainability Strategy as outlined by the Sustainability Roadmap Towards 2030.

Key Performance Areas



Fundraising



Assist and maintain a corporate and individual database through research done on new and existing partners Assist in the implementation of the Stakeholder Management plan and the Communications and Fundraising Framework File and maintain donor profile database as part of donor onboarding Update and maintain donor reporting schedule Assist with meetings and partnership development Assist with development of MOUs and SLAs Assist with the management of the system for monthly donations and pledges Drafting and distribution of B-BBEE Letters and Section 18A certificates Research current and upcoming grant opportunities and update grants calendar Assist with development of proposals, grant applications, and donor communications Assist with the conceptualisation, development and roll-out of potential fundraising, stakeholder events and campaigns Assist in development of fundraising and event marketing collateral for events and campaigns. Administer Fundraising and Events databases Research potential event partnerships and sponsorships Research potential partners and sponsors for Back to School for a Day and Back to School Party Assist with planning the Chairperson dinner arising from Back-to-School Party Assist with tracking and following up on pledges made at events from corporates and individuals Assist with development of resource mobilisation proposals in accordance with AAS strategy Research companies and contacts for distribution of proposals Attend meetings when required to support the Fundraising Manager and Events Manager Research Philanthropic Networks, Associations and Professional Bodies for the Foundation to participate in building brand awareness

International Expansion



Research for AAS UK - stakeholder database development Research and identify funding opportunities for AAS UK Assist with the development of proposals and grant applications Assist with coordinating meetings and logistics for all UK meetings, initiatives, campaigns, and events Assist with developing presentations for UK Trustee Induction and UK collateral development

Education, Skills, and Experience



Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Marketing and Communications No previous experience required Knowledge of social development issues and the NPO space Ability to analyse and interpret data Report writing Ability to research donors Interpersonal skills Presentation skills Verbal and written communication skills Teamwork Problem solving Planning and organising Creative thinking Integrity and honesty Resilience Adaptability
