Girls and Boys Town South Africa Non-Profit Organization, formerly Boys Town established in 1958, provides professional therapeutic and support services to help vulnerable youth and families in South Africa. The organization offers residential facilities, parental training programs, and the SHINE(TM) program to empower young individuals with the skills and values needed to thrive. Girls and Boys Town conducts longitudinal research to track the impact of their care interventions and contribute positively to families, communities, and the economy.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fundraiser in

Cape Town

. The Fundraiser will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with donors, managing fundraising campaigns, and developing strategies to increase funding. They will also be responsible for planning and organizing fundraising events, analyzing fundraising data, and managing donor databases.

Reports to: Regional Fundraising Manager

Qualifications Required

Grade 12/Matric/National Senior Certificate

Valid Driver's License

Minimum of 3 Years in Sales/Fundraising/CSI

Proven track record of achieving targets Excellent Written, interpersonal and verbal communication Skills
Experience Required

Min 10 year's general work experience Previous Selling or fundraising experience Proven experience in fundraising and donor stewardship Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to think strategically and develop fundraising plans Demonstrated ability to meet fundraising targets and goals Knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques Experience in managing fundraising events Ability to analyze and interpret fundraising data Experience in managing donor databases Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field Passionate about helping vulnerable youth and improving their lives
Duties of the Fundraiser

Attract new sponsorships and donations against set targets Initiate and build relationships (face to face, networking, events) Produce targeted number of fundraising proposals per month Service Donor portfolios Meet Donor requirements Liaise with projects to identity needs and develop proposals Research Prospective Donors
