What will you do in the role?
Your primary team and reporting line will be into our Funding Planning and Analysis team. This team is responsible for the operational management of all of our existing funding facilities - here you will build an understanding of how to manage the various requirements of our lenders and the reporting required for these facilities, including for our listed bond programme. In addition, you will also support our Strategic Finance team on select tasks to allow you to also develop some financial planning & analysis and budgeting skills.
What are some of the roles and responsibilities of this role?
75% of your time will be allocated to Funding Operations tasks:
  • Prepare weekly and monthly funding drawdowns from the warehouse facilities
  • Assist with operational processes associated with the facility documents (loan modifications, loan sales)
  • Assist with monthly reporting (including regulatory EU/UK) and payment waterfall calculations across warehouse facilities and public asset-backed securitisation(s) timeously
  • Assist with ad-hoc queries from facilities' parties/stakeholders
  • Ensure lender requests are addressed promptly and comprehensively
  • Ensure audit requests are addressed promptly and comprehensively
  • Support on the listed bond programme monthly tasks, including monthly and quarterly bond processes (reporting, coupons), ensuring coupon calculations and transfers are accurate and that all reporting is sent timeously to investors
25% of your time will be allocated to Strategic Finance tasks:
  • Ongoing tracking and reviewing actuals performance against the Annual Budget and discussing material variances and driver with Budget Owners
  • Support Budget Owners in finding ways to realign with Budget expectations if / when there are material variances against the Annual Budget
  • Support in the preparation of financial reporting and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Assist with updating funding / facility calculations and templates
  • Support in process improvement and automation
  • Interface with Finance team on cross-over elements

Qualifications, experience and key attributes:
  • 2+ years of financial services back/middle office experience, ideally from a leading investment bank or asset manager
  • Possess a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification (finance, statistics, mathematics, accounting or economics)
  • Strong data analytical skills in MS Excel
  • Familiar with Google Workspace
  • Financial modelling skills a nice to have
  • Bright, motivated, energetic, independent, organised, creative, resilient, accurate, ethical
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
