Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in VB.NET: Since VB.NET is the primary language, a strong command of its syntax, features, and best practices is essential
Understanding of the .NET framework: VB.NET is built on the .NET framework, so you need to be familiar with its architecture, libraries, and components
Solid understanding of OOP principles: Concepts like encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism are fundamental to VB.NET development
Database skills (e.g., SQL): VB.NET applications often interact with databases, so knowledge of database design and SQL is valuable
Knowledge of ASP.NET: If web development is part of your role, understanding ASP.NET for web applications is important
