We specialise in the growing, packing and marketing of apples and pears to retailers, traders and wholesalers around the globe.FRUIT TECHNOLOGIST - PACKINGWe are looking for an experienced, innovative, and detail-oriented person with strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, who can provide specialist support to our Packing Operations, based in the Grabouw area.Responsibilities:
- Interpret specifications and lead the packsheds to apply specifications accurately from fruit receiving to final product.
- Train quality personnel on specifications.
- Conduct weekly packhouse visits to ensure correct implementation of product specifications and monitor the quality of packed products.
- Facilitate and coordinate new processes and modify existing procedures to match business practices and requirements.
- Perform daily, weekly, and yearly data analysis across sites and report results.
- Conduct trials on new products and technologies in the packing operations.
- Technical Degree/Diploma or relevant qualification in quality management, agriculture, or a related field.
- 3 Years relevant experience in quality assurance, especially within the agricultural or packing industry.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and apply technical specifications.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to drive continuous improvement.
