Develop the annual marketing plan and manage the marketing programme for allocated markets and products.
Build, manage, and grow relationships with buyers in allocated regions, including:
+ Local retail
+ Middle East
+ South-East Asia
+ China
+ Japan
+ Africa Understand and track market dynamics, including pricing trends, competitor activity, customer requirements, and regulatory changes.
Develop annual volume and pricing budgets per market, programme, and account, aligned to grower expectations and market realities.
Capture and manage account sales information accurately, ensuring timely communication of prices, volumes, and deductions.
Assist with producer payment accuracy, including checking statements, resolving queries, and ensuring transparency with growers.
Conduct producer and programme analysis, evaluating performance by market, variety, and customer to support improved decision-making.
Manage the implementation of marketing programmes, coordinating with logistics, quality, and technical teams to meet customer specifications and delivery timelines.
Provide regular reporting and feedback to internal teams and producers on market performance, returns, and key risks/opportunities.
Support new market and customer development initiatives where required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Commerce, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, or a related field (Honours advantageous).
Additional training in export marketing, international trade, or fresh produce management beneficial.
5-7 years' experience in the citrus or broader fresh fruit export industry, with a focus on marketing, sales, or commercial roles.
Experience managing relationships with international buyers and/or local retail customers.
Strong understanding of fresh produce or citrus export markets.
Ability to interpret market information, pricing trends, and customer requirements and translate this into practical marketing actions.
Prior involvement in budgeting, pricing, and producer return calculations.
Exposure to working with packhouses, logistics, and export documentation is advantageous.
Experience with markets such as the Middle East, South-East Asia, China, Japan, or Africa will be a strong advantage.
Proficiency in MS Excel and general MS Office suite.
Experience working with ERP, marketing, or sales systems in an export environment advantageous.
