We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Front of House / General Manager to lead our front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service, high standards, and an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:



Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional service and smooth flow of guests. Lead, train, and manage front-of-house staff including hosts, servers, bartenders, and bussers. Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage for all shifts. Ensure that all team members provide a high standard of service that aligns with Pear Tree's values. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Maintain and enhance guest relations, aiming for repeat business and positive reviews. Monitor and control the restaurant's front-of-house budget, including staffing, supplies, and overhead costs. Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure coordination between front and back-of-house operations. Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring restaurant is clean, organized, and prepared for service. Manage and track inventory of front-of-house supplies, including menu items, beverages, and uniforms. Monitor restaurant atmosphere and ambiance, ensuring a comfortable and inviting environment for guests. Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards, complying with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Provide regular reports on sales, staffing, and performance metrics to senior management. Ensure the implementation of marketing and promotional initiatives to drive business growth. Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment. Manage stock control of bar and front of house items

Qualifications:



Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, ideally in a full-service restaurant. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset. In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, from guest relations to staff management. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience managing budgets, payroll, and inventory. Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on key performance indicators (KPIs). Knowledge of local health and safety regulations and standards. Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and other restaurant management tools. A passion for great food, exceptional service, and creating memorable guest experiences. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be computer literate (word, excel, google drive and apps, POS, stock management systems) Stock control experience Barista and bar experience a plus
