Front of House Host - Luxury Self-Catering Safari Lodge - KwaZulu-Natal
Our client, a luxury self-catering safari lodge in KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a Front of House Host to join their live-in lodge team. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who enjoy guest-facing roles, hands-on responsibilities, and working in a remote bush environment.
Description
The Front of House Host will welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, and ensure the lodge is presented to the highest standards. While the lodge operates primarily on a self-catering basis, occasional catering support and guest hosting will be required.
Responsibilities include reception and administrative duties, managing online bookings and reservations, assisting with stock control and deliveries, performing room checks, handling guest queries and complaints, and supporting other lodge departments as needed. A strong focus is placed on guest experience, teamwork, and operational excellence.
This is a live-in, permanent position suited to individuals who are passionate about nature, wildlife, and hands-on hospitality.
Package:

• Salary: R10,000 per month
• Live-in accommodation and uniforms included
• 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation

Minimum Requirements

• Previous Front of House, lodge hosting, or hospitality experience
• Strong guest interaction and communication skills
• Experience with booking systems (Nightsbridge advantageous)
• Administrative and organisational skills
• Positive, adaptable, and proactive attitude
• Comfortable living and working in a remote bush environment
