Synopsis Join our dynamic team at a renowned luxury Lodge and Guest House catering to an upmarket British clientele. We are seeking a versatile Front of House candidate for various roles including housekeeping, kitchen, front of house, and reservations. The position is live-in, offering a serviced en suite room with meals and laundry provided. Responsibilities:
- Assist with housekeeping tasks, ensuring the lodge maintains a high standard of cleanliness.
- Support kitchen operations by participating in meal preparation and service.
- Manage front of house duties, including guest welcome, reservation handling, and maintaining a professional environment.
- Act as a host for guests during meals and activities, enhancing their overall experience.
- Cover various positions during staff leave, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.
- Knowledge of local culture is advantagious.
- Participate in dining and hosting, requiring 100% FLUENCY IN ENGLISH, a well-presented appearance, and confidence. THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE.
- Knowledge of Semper Reservation System is an advantage.
- Fluent in English to facilitate effective communication with both guests and staff.
- Maintain a professional and well-spoken demeanor.
- Confidence in hosting and engaging with guests, providing exceptional hospitality.
- Comfortable with live-in accommodation in a serviced en suite room.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different departments and cover staff leave.
- Familiarity with the leave policy of 7 days per month and 3 weeks of long leave after 1 year of service.
- Immediate availability for the position.
- Negotiable salary, starting from R8000, inclusive of board and lodging.
