RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified and experienced FRONT DESK / FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER for a well-established hospitality concern, company based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area.JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTSGrade 12.Valid Code 08 drivers license / own reliable vehicle.Relevant qualifications an added advantage but not essential.English speaking person (person must be able to speak, read and write English competently).Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Previous experience with Hotel Management Software Semper.3yrs+ previous working experience with front desk experience in a 5-star hotel environment.Knowledge of front desk procedures, reservations and financial transactions.Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and be able to deal with them efficiently and calmly.Strong time management, supervisory, leadership and management skills.Customer service-oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction.Prepared to work hospitality hours, and willing to work extended hours when required to do so.Oversee all aspects of the hotels reception, including inquiries, reservations, guest payments, agents commission (STO agreements), supervision and training of receptionists.Ensure that all rates are set up correctly, charged correctly and checked regularly.Ensure effective communication between reception, housekeeping, food and beverage.Ensure effective communication to coordinate guests arrivals, departures, special requests, maintenance issue reports.Manage the reservations and payment system ensuring accurate guest information, payments and room allocations.Manage debtors.Check and ensure that day-ends are correct.Maintaining guest database.Drafting receptionists monthly roster.Hosting when requested to do so.Room checks when required (late arrivals, when Rooms Divisional Manager is off-duty).Reporting directly to the General Manager.Salary offered: To be discussedPLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE THE RELEVANT EXPERIENCE / ONLY SUITABLE CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED.IMPORTANT
