Skills Required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and leadership abilities. Strong knowledge of meat preparation, cutting techniques, and storage requirements. Knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including their storage and handling. Strong knowledge of dairy products, including storage and handling requirements. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the food industry. Attention to detail for verifying order accuracy and managing records. At least five years experience in the relevant area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

:

Managing the supply chain for fresh produce. Ensuring quality control and compliance with health standards. Coordinating with suppliers and vendors. Leading and training staff in handling fresh produce. Oversee daily operations of the meat department, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Ensure the quality, freshness, and proper storage of all meat products. Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking. Monitor and maintain the quality and freshness of dairy products. Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally. Oversee the receipt of goods, ensuring accuracy in type, quantity, and condition. Manage documentation and maintain inventory records. Coordinate with suppliers and other departments to streamline operations. Address discrepancies or damaged goods and implement solutions. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the receiving area. Must live in the southern suburbs of Cape Town.
