Fragrance Development Technologist Flavour Manufacturing Company (johannesburg)
Job Description
Characterising and matching fragrances used in different products such as fragrance oils, personal care, home and fabric care products as well as fine fragrances.
Preparing, analysing, interpreting, and quantifying fragrances based on GC-MS reports supplied.
Managing the raw material quality and substitutions, product formulation, process optimization and new product implementation.
Participating in the olfactory evaluation of the matched fragrances and interpreting findings.
Profiling fragrances in the fragrance library.
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge library of new fragrance ingredients and components within the market.
Resolving customer complaints by application trouble shooting and desktop research
Qualification in Chemistry or similar
Previous work experience fragrance development and application
Good project management and communication skills
Computer literate
Must be a self-starter and take ownership of assigned projects
Excellent attention to detail
Problem solving ability
Be passionate about fragrances
