Job Description

The industry organization, Fresh Produce Exporters' Forum, runs a number of initiatives to bring about transformation in the fresh fruit export industry. The FPEF Graduate Placement Program places high calibre graduates in junior commercial, logistics and technical (post-harvest quality management) roles at various South African fruit export companies for one year, potentially leading to long term career opportunities. The aim of this programme is to integrate a growing group of talented black individuals into the commercial and operational heart of the industry.

One of the country's leading fruit exporters and Fresh Produce Exporters Forum (FPEF) member is offering a 12-month contract for a Commercial Graduate - Fruit.
Overview:
This role offers broad exposure across a variety of fruit categories. Graduates will support product managers and commercial teams in procurement, documentation, and market planning.
Key Learning Areas:

Supporting product managers across multiple commodities
Procurement and administration of local sales
Document control and technical support
Weekly price forecasting and market delivery planning
Stock requests, CODs, and claims management
Exposure to Dolfin, Agrihub, and other industry platforms

Ideal Candidate:
A graduate with a degree in Commerce, Agriculture, or Supply Chain, who is adaptable, numerically inclined, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment. South African, BEE citizen, under 30 years of age.
Remuneration: The respective organisation undertakes to provide mentorship and market-related remuneration as applicable to interns.
