Our client, an international mining house with operating mines and projects in Africa, is in need an FP&A Manager to join their team, based out of Gauteng, South Africa.
Responsibilities:
Strategic financial planning and forecasting; leading quarterly, annual and long-term budgeting, forecasting and planning.
Creating and maintaining cash flow models to support liquidity and capital planning.
Board and investor reporting; providing presentation content for quarterly earnings and analyst briefings, assisting in ensuring financial forecast compliance.
Assisting in preparing investor responses and analyst query responses.
Developing and maintaining KPI's for mining operations, exploration and corporate overheads.
Monitoring working capital and cash conversion metrics for all subsidiaries.
Capital markets and treasury support; assisting in equity raise modelling, warrant exercises, and capital allocation scenario planning.
Liaising with financial institutions, advisors and legal counsel for fundraises and M&A activity.
Establish a best-in-class FP&A function aligned with public company standards, ensuring readiness for SOX-light compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or similar relevant field.
Honours or MBA preferred.
CA(SA), CIMA (CGMA), or CFA designtation.
10+ years' experience in senior financial planning and analysis roles, with at least 5 years in FP&A management roles within the mining sector.
Experienced with gold mining companies preferred.
Big Four background preferred.
Well-versed in FP&A management in a public company.
Strong understanding of IFRS and capital market reporting cycles.
Previous experience in IPO processes, investor relations support, and SEC filings highly advantageous.
Proficiency in ERP systems and BI tools, with advanced Excel and financial modelling (3-statement models, DCF, sensitivity analysis).
Contractual Information:
Permanent contract subject success completion of initial probationary / fixed term period.
